About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

Entry from Hongkong not possible?

As I understand from the guidelines, it is NOT possible to enter Guangdong by land border crossing from Hongkong and leave by plane? I will be in HK first and I am wondering if it makes any sense to book a flight from HK to Shenzhen just for being eligible for the transit visa.

I'm afraid there is no flight from HK to Shenzhen. Maybe you can apply for Shenzhen visa on arrival; but the duration of stay is only 5 days.
