Q1 visa

My spouse is Chinese citizen. We got a Q1 visa for me and my son to find out when we arrived. We have to go to her town to apply for resident permit. And they want our marriage certificate and my son birth certificate notarized in China and endorsement from Chinese embassy where we got married and were my son was born. Is this normal?

Yes, it's normal because you need to get the marriage and birth certificates legalized in China.

Hello Dennis, it's not difficult once you have all the requirements. You need to send the requirements to one of the China consulates or the embassy in USA, so as the visa fee.
