About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

HK - Macau - Guangzhou - Shenzhen - HK.

This is such a helpful site. THANK YOU. :-)

USA Citizen. I'll be in Hong Kong, and want to visit Guangzhou/Shenzhen. I've been told I could enter Mainland China from Macau, via Train. Obtain 144 hour free visa. Then can travel in GuangDong province (GZ and SZ) for a few days on business. Then return to Hong Kong via train. Would that plan meet the requirements? (I have a 10-year China Visa (M), but of course it is suspended for now like all Visa).

I could also fly HK to GZ, then take ferry back to Macau when leaving, and then ferry from Macau to HK.

Is trying to do 144 hour more complicated by train than air?

I just read more. The 144 hour visa-free can only be obtained at 1 of 3 airports. So I would probably need to fly HK to Guangzhou, and then travel to Macau, and then to HK.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
