About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

144 Hour Visa Route

Would traveling from US to Hong Kong to Shenzhen (stay in SZ for 3 days), then back to Hong Kong then back to US qualify for 144 hour free visa?

The HK - Shenzhen - HK route is not eligible.

What about US > HK > Guangzhou, then Guangzhou/Shenzhen > HK > US?

Both Guangzhou and Shenzhen are in Guangdong Province. So this route: HK - Guangdong - HK, does not invlove a third destination either and is not eligible for the transit.
