About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

visiting 2 cities in China on 144 hour visa-exemption

my planned route is: USA - Vietnam - Hong Kong - Shanghai - Guangzhou - USA. Can I visit both Shanghai and Guangzhou/Guangdong on the 144 hour visa exemption policy and then leave China? Thanks.
