About:China Family Reunion Visa

British daughter in China

Hello,

My 3yr old daughter is a British passport holder who recently renounced the Chinese citizenship. She was given a visa to stay for 6 months post renunciation and then supposed to leave China to get the Q1 visa. Due to Covid, we are unable to leave (British parent and Chinese mother). The visa has expired and the entry-exit bureau have given us one month stay visas for the time being but we have no idea when quarantine and travel restrictions may change and there are only so many stay visas we can get.

Does anyone know if can apply for a Q visa via post or does my child have to return to her "home" country of England to get the first Visa after renunciation?

Or any other methods of obtaining a longer term visa would be appreciated.

Thank you

Hi Simon,
Sorry cannot answer as you need.
Possessing a Q2 visa, my situation was similar: had exit issues (covid ), but eventually managed under duress. Without the exit, would have needed permit to exit.
Do you know is Q2 permitted to return as of Oct 15, 2020?
