Visiting elder parent during Covid19 pandemic

Visiting elder parent during Covid19 pandemic
I am a US citizen and my five years visa to China expired last year. Now I need to go back to China urgently to take care of my mother's health issue as she is now 92 years old. Please let me know how to get a humanitarian visa. Please let me know whom I should contact and which visa office I should go to ( I am living in DC area ). Thanks.
