Q1 Visa UK to China

My wife is a Chinese resident, she is going back to china in the next month and I would like to go with her, is it possible to get a Q1 visa now? Is there any update on the restrictions?

As far as I know, it is possible now if you have a temporary Chinese residence permit.

As far as I know, I need a visa first to get a temporary residence permit, but if I dont have a visa, how can I get a residence permit?

Peter, you can apply for a Q visa provided that you can get a PU intivation letter from China.
