About:Chinese Consulate in Chicago

Is it possible for me to obtain a work visa?

I am a very well-educated and somewhat experienced ESL (English as a second language teacher). I want to teach in China. However, I am sixty-five years old, and I have two criminal convictions: one for battery, a class C felony, in 1992, and the other for stalking, a class A misdemeanor, in 2001. How likely is it that I can obtain a work visa?

Danniel, actually, age is not a problem, but your criminal history may make it very hard to get a Chinese work visa.
