About:China Visa Application Procedure and Fee

Can I use 144 hours visa free policy more than once?

For example I enter from Germany to shanghai and depart 4 days later to Bali and then on the way back from Bali I stop over in Beijing and leave after 4 days to Germany. Would that be possible or can I only use it once per holiday?
