About:Visa on Arrival

Can i apply Shenzhen VOA from Shenzhen North Railway?

hi, i'm Indonesian, I planning go to Shenzhen from HongKong. I would like take High-Speed Train from HK West kowloon. Could I apply from there? Thank you

Sorry, you cannot. Shenzhen VOA is only issued at Huanggang, Luohu and Shekou Port. You can take HK MTR to Lo Wu (Luohu in Shenzhen) and apply there.

Oh, I see. If i go to Shenzhen by Ferry from Macau, i apply Shenzhen VOA from Shekou Port right? and Could I take High Speed Train to get back HK?

Rendi, you can do that because Indonesian citizens are formally and technically eligible for 5 days Shenzhen visa on arrival, but you still run a risk to be rejected because the success rate for Indonesian citizens is rather poor. In reality, you have better chances if you arrive by ferry to Shekou because it is harder for the border officials to reject you since your return to Macau or Hong Kong would be somewhat complicated. If you are successful in obtaining a Shenzhen VOA, you can travel to Hong Kong by taking any border crossing and any mean of transport, high speed train included. Futian station in Shenzhen is the most convenient in this regard.
