Q1 Visa To China

Is it mandatory to update passport maiden name to married name before applying Q1 visa to China? In my visa application form I'm using my married name. We also had our marriage certificate included in the application. Therefore my passport was maiden name. Will this affect my visa application? We had submitted everything but the visa application was pending. We are planning to cancel the visa application and apply again. And I would like to renew my passport with my married name. I wonder if my passport causes delay of visa application because it was on maiden name.
Any suggestions? Thanks

The stall of your visa application may have nothing to do with the maiden name. Many Filipinos' visa applications have been put on hold since this January and it probably won't restart until the epidemic clears up globally. Until then China is now letting less people in.
