Only factories that have the approvals from the provincial government can count. Any kind of real estate investment is off-limit to non-citizens at this point (so you will have to buy in someone else's name if you have to). Having Chinese ancestry is not a factor in consideration unless your ancestor had PRC citizenship and did not leave until China introduced ID cards in the 1980s.
