beijing to shanghai

Question

We are planning 2 nights in Beijing then 2 nights  in Shanghai before a 7 day cruise to Japan. We then return to Shanghai and fly home. What visas will we need?. Thanks

The first entry to China requires a tourist (L) visa. The second entry might qualify for transit without visa, but that would depend on your exact route and nationality. It would be better to get a double- or multiple-entry visa.
