Chinese tourist visa Extensions because of travel and airline restrictions

Hi, are there any special considerations for visa extensions for those who are already in China on tourist visa and are not sure about how and when to travel due to airlines not being operative or imposition on travel restrictions.Especially when you are a senior citizen.

Dear, you need to contact the local exit and entry administration to extend your visa, but I'm not sure whether it is still open currently. You should go there and have a look or just call the office. If it's not open, you need to go there immediately after it resumes operation, explain that you are not overstaying purposely and apply for visa extension.
