About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visit with a cruise

Hi, I wanted to see if our itinerary would qualify for 3 separate 144 hour free visas.

USA-Toronto (layover)-Shanghai (spend 3 days in Shanghai)
7 day cruise Shanghai-Japan (multiple stops)-Shanghai
Shanghai fly direct to Okinawa, Japan (spend 1 week)
Okinawa, Japan- Shanghai (spend 1 day)- Toronto (layover)- USA

Thank you!

Japan > Shanghai > Japan part requires a visa. Since you have USA passport you should apply for the 10 year multiple entry visa from the Chinese consulate prior to your trip. It's same cost as single entry.
