About:Chinese Paper-cut Museum

Flying in to beijing from USA and staying for 3 nights before flying to Thailand

Arriving to Beijing from USA on Feb 16, will stay for 3 nights. We want to do tour (Great wall, forbidden city.. etc..) Leaving on Feb 19 to Thailand, so is 72 hour transit visa enough or do i need to apply for visa? Please help

72 hour transit visa doesn't exist. If your only landings are USA-Beijing-Thailand with no other stops then you don't need a visa because you will qualify for 144 hours transit without visa (if your passport is on the list of 53 qualifying countries - you didn't mention it). It's not a visa.
