About:China Visa Application Requirements

Transit visa 144

We are flying from London Heathrow to Singapore going a cruise and the last port is Shanghai we are staying two days then flying back to London Heathrow can we use the visa 144 hour for this
and if we can how do we get one i nobody seems to answer my question I'm going around in circles.
I just want a yes or no .

Jeanette, your route is eligible for the 144h visa-free transit if you don't have other layovers in China. You can apply for it upon arrival in Shanghai following the direction signs.

No you can't the regulations say you have to enter and leave by the same airport within 144 hours, obviously cruise port and shanghai airport are not the same airport so please do some further research in my opinion you should get a tourist or a transit visa accordingly what will be the major purpose of you guys entering prc
