About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

transiting from Manila Philippines to Los Angeles California via Shanghai

Hi,

Do i need a visa if i will just be transiting or stopover to shanghai going from Manila Philippines via Shanghai to Los Angeles California?

Your itinerary is definitely eligible for 24 hour visa free transit and you don't need any kind of visa.

You will print out your tickets and have those printouts with you. Also, you will declare at check-in in Manila that you will travel to Los Angeles via Shanghai using 24 hour visa free transit. After a short check of your tickets, you will be allowed to board the plane.

Upon arrival in Shanghai, you will just follow the signs "International transfer/transit", you will also perform a couple of formalities and after that proceed to your boarding gate for your flight to Los Angeles.
