About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

MULTI-CITY LOS ANGELES - TAIPEI - BEIJING - LOS ANGELES: IS THIS ELIGIBLE FOR VISA FREE TRANSIT?

Hi I am planning to go to Taiwan and use visa free transit to stop by in Beijing for 48 hours before flying back to USA. Is it possible?
