About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do I need a visa or am I allowed to travel under the 144 hours rule

I plan to travel to Shanghai for 3 days and then take the Train to Hong Kong West Kowloon Station. Do I need a visa or am I allowed to travel under the 144 hours rule to Shanghai and then continue by train to Kowloon West ?

High speed rail requires a visa. Only the overnight train service from Shanghai to Hong Kong operating every other day from Shanghai Railway Station to Hung Hom Railway Station qualifies for transit without visa.
