Hong Kong stopover

Hello, I have a flight from Dubai to Shanghai with a 2hr stop over in Hong Kong. Then a flight from Shanghai to Sydney direct non-stop. Will I still be eligible for the 144hr visa free transit in Shanghai?

Yes, of course. Hong Kong is considered as a third country for visa free transit purposes.
