Visa exemption for visits in China?

I board cruise ship in Japan Thursday September 10, 2020. The ship docks at Tianjin China for Beijing on Sept.18 at 9:00am and leaves 7:00pm on Sept.19, 2020. Thus I have 2 days available to visit Beijing. Again, the ship docks Shanghai at 8:00 am on Sept.21 and departs Midnight; thus one day time available for visits. Next on Sept 23, the ship docks Xiamen at 9:00am and departs 5:00pm; thus day time available for visit.
Finally, it reaches Hong Kong at 10:00am on Sept 24 and disembarkation is 8:00 am Sept 25, 2020. My air flight leaves Hong Kong for Toronto at 3:10pm Sept.25, 2020.
Do I qualify for Visa Free Entry for visits?
Do I have to book tours for visits through a china approved agency?
What is the requirement if the tours are booked through cruise ship?

That is too many stops and you must get a tourist visa. As a visa holder you do not need to book tours, but when applying for a visa they will need to see your cruise vouchers and hotel reservations on land. As a Canadian citizen you are automatically eligible for a multiple entry visa at no extra charge.
