About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visiting my sister in Zhuhai when she arrives from Australia in the Clipper Race

I am wondering whether it is possible to land in Hong Kong and whilst there visit Zuhai on a 72 hr visa.
Our stay in Hong Kong will be approximately 7-10 days.
Am I correct in thinking that a visa for Hong Kong will not be necessary also?

Hong Kong does not need a visa for UK passport for 180 days
Zhuhai, you can apply for 5 day visa on arrival at one of the approved ports
Fee for UK passport is CNY 304 and must be paid in local currency
