Vietnam passport transit >24 hours

I have booked a flight from London to Guangzhou arriving at 6PM then leaving at 10PM the next day to Vietnam. Will I be eligible for 24 hours visa transit given the transit time is more than 24 hours? I can stay at the airport and not get out to match the 24 hours time but not sure if the stopover time is counted that way. Please advise.
