About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

London to Christchurch via Guangzhou

Hello

My stopober is just under seven hours. I've booked a hotel next door to the airport to shower and rest. I have a UK passport , would I be eligible for the 24 free exit? Do I have to take my checked baggage with me if leaving the airport ?

You are eligible for the 24h free exit. If your luggage will be delivered to the final destination directly, you don’t need to claim it after arrival.
