About:Chinese Clay Figurine Museum

I am 68 years old and my husband will be 74 in May when we leave for a holiday in China.

What kind of visa will we need when we fly to Beijing on 14th May 2020 staying for 3 nights. We then go by bullet train to Xi’an for 2 nights before embarking on a 3 night Yangtze River Cruise. We then take the bullet train to Shanghai, staying one night before going on a cruise to Kyoto, Japan for 7 days. We then disembark at Shanghai and spend 2 days there before arriving in the UK on 2nd June.

You need a Chinese single entry tourist (L) visa that you will apply at CVASC (Chinese Visa Application Service Center) nearest to the place where you live. They are located in: London, Belfast, Edinburgh and Manchester. The application is done online, but it is also possible to arrange an appointment. This visa will cover your entire stay in China until your departure by cruise from Shanghai.

Upon your return with your cruise from Shanghai, you will be eligible for 144 hour visa free transit and you don't need a visa of any kind for your short stay in Shanghai area.
