About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Do I need any VISA

My husband and I are flying to Melbourne on February 7 with a transit in Guangzhou. We leave China in 2,5 hours. I think we don't need a visa for this.

Question 2.
On March 3 we'll be flying from Melbourne via Shanghai. We arrive in the evening 19.40 hr.
We plan to stay until March 6 for some sightseeing. Our flight to the Netherlands is at Shanghai Airport at 12.40 March 6. As we are staying less than 72 hours we don't need a visa according to my information from the computer. Is this correct?

And question 3: Do we have to come to the Embassy in the Hague to have our fingerprints registered?
THank you for your time.

1. You're covered by the 24h transit and don't need a visa

2. As a dutch you can stay up to 144 hours in Shanghai without a visa.

3. No need as you don't apply for a visa. The embassy don't have anything to do with visa free transit.
