About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Flight from Los Angeles to Thailand

Hello,
I am flying to Thailand from Los Angeles via Shanghai. I have two hour layover in Shanghai. Would this be problem for not having a visa? Thank you.

No, this is definitely not a problem because your itinerary is eligible for 24 hour visa free transit and you don't need any kind of visa. Anyway, your layover of only 2 hours is a bit problematic because it is very short. OK, if you are traveling on a single (through) ticket on a single airline (probably on China Eastern), it should be OK, but you will have to be very fast to reach your boarding gate for your flight to Bangkok on time.
