About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Hello , my daughter and I are flying from Sydney to France with a layover in Peking of 9 hours .

Will it be possible to visit Bejing in that time ? We are flying the 26th of December from Sydney to Bejing , to Munchen and then Toulouse . Thank you in advance for your answer . Gabrielle

The first and the most important detail is that your itinerary is definitely eligible for 24 hour visa free transit and you don't need any kind of visa.

Please, remember to print out your flight tickets and to bring those printouts with you.

Upon arrival in Beijing, you will approach 24 hour visa free transit counter where you will apply for a temporary entry permit and you should tell to the immigration authorities that you plan to visit precisely one or two Beijing attractions. Anyway, it is always hard to predict whether you will be granted a permit or not because the issuing of the permit is under discretion of immigration authorities. Your chances would be significantly increased by taking a layover tour.
