About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transit visa for stopover in Nanjing?

I will fly from Sydney to Beijing with a 2 hour stopover in Nanjing. Do I need a transit visa in Nanjing? Then I will spend 26 hours in Beijing before I fly to Paris. Do I need to apply for a 72 hour visa?

You either need a transit or a tourist visa for the trip as your transit time in China is over 24 hours and you're not covered by the 24h twov.
And as you have 2 stops in China, you're not covered by the 144h twov as well.
