About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visa - or 144 hour transit

Hi, just making sure.
I'm flying from NY to Shanghai, 30 hours later I'll take a flight from Shanghai to Beijing. 54 hours later going to Japan. I do need a tourist visa correct?

Yes, you need a tourist (L) visa.
