About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

JFK to Beijing, connecting thru Seoul and returning the same way

I am traveling for business from JFK to Beijing - connecting Seoul, South Korea arriving Monday - then departing Friday of the same week back to JFK, again connecting in Seoul. I assume the Transit visa is applicable. Please confirm.

You need a visa. Seoul-Beijing-Seoul isn’t a transit, it’s a visit to China.
