About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

2 separate round trip tickets, Vancouver/Shanghai, Shanghai/Tehran

I have a round trip ticket via China Eastern from Vancouver to Shanghai, stay 1 night.

Separate round trip ticket (Aeroflot) from Shanghai to Tehran and return to Shanghai. I wish to stay in Shanghai for 3 days before the China Eastern flight back to Vancouver.

Am I eligible for the transit without visa?

Aeroflot doesn't fly nonstop from Shanghai to Tehran.
Do you have a stopover in Moscow on both ways?

Yes. Fly Aerflot Shanghai to Tehran with stopover in Moscow.

So your route is Vancouver - Shanghai - Moscow - Shanghai - Vancouver (the immigration don't care about your final destination Tehran).

First leg is fine for the 24h transit, return leg is covered by the 144h twov.
Both times you don't need a visa (as long as you travel on a qualified passport)
