About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Vancouver-Shanghai-Hong Kong-Vancouver with Canadian passport, would I need a VISA?

Hi, If I go thru the above route and stay for 4 nights in Shanghai, would I need a VISA? Thank you.

What about Vancouver-Shanghai (4 nts)-Hong Kong (2-3 nts)-Shanghai (just transit-no overnight)-Vancouver? Will that still qualify for 144 hour transit exemption on VISA?
