About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

International Layover on Return Counts as Third Country?

Hi Zupan,

Thanks for answering these questions. I’ve booked the following routing (for $350USD RT!):

Chicago - Beijing - Five Nights in Beijing- Tokyo (3hr Layover) - Denver.

International layovers count as a third country, even for this short duration, correct? I haven’t seen anything to the contrary and have prepared a printout of just the ANA flight to Tokyo to avoid confusion at the counter by showing a full itinerary that includes the United operated NRT to DEN that same day...
