Leaving Job, when would i need to leave China

Hello I had a question in regards to work visas and residency permits in China (Hangzhou).

I plan to leave my job and want to know the visa/ resident permit cancellation procedures?

How quickly would i need to exit China after quitting my job?

You need to cancel your residence permit at the local exit and entry administration in Hangzhou after your employer has canceled your work permit. At the same time, you can ask the officer there to issue you a one-month tourist visa, then you need to exit China with 30 days.

I haven't confirmed this although it was mentioned to me...if the work permit gets cancelled, then I could stay on the resident permit until it expired?

I always thought when they cancel the work permit, they would in tandem also cancel your resident permit

Technically they do need to report this to the PSB so they can cancel your residence permit and give you a 30-day exit-only visa. If they do not then you'd better do this yourself, as the time limit is 10 business days. Any delay may be counted as overstaying and may result in fines.
