About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Does 144 hours apply for Frankfurt-Bangalore-Hongkong-Shanghai-Frankfurt?

And would it also apply without stop in Bangalore? Eg: FRA-Hongkong (2hour stop-over)-Shanghai-Frankfurt? Thanks!!
