layover with turkey stamp in passport

Hi, I will be traveling from dubai to melbourne with a 12 hour layover in shanghai (China Eastern). I'm a dutch citizen so I should be eligible for a TWOV. However I have a stamp in my passport for visiting Turkey (holiday). Do you think this will be an issue? thanks!

Your itinerary definitely qualifies for 24 hour TWOV and you don't need any kind of visa. You will be also allowed to proceed with a Turkish stamp because even if asked, you will just tell that you were traveling to Turkey for a holiday to enjoy sea, architecture and nature. You can also add a shopping and gastronomy. Anyway, you will deny that you were in Turkey for cultural, educational, religious or political reasons and you will also tell, if asked, that you did not make friends there and that you do not have relatives living in the country. Just follow this pattern of answering and you will get just a welcome and proceed with your own business.
