About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Cruise from Shanghai

Hello! we have a cruise from Shanghai to Japan, we arrive from Vienna. Can I take 144 hours transit?

Yes, you will be eligible for 144 hour visa free transit under the following two conditions:

- Your flight from Vienna to Shanghai is not allowed to have any additional landing within mainland China and in Japan.
- Your cruise is not allowed to have its first port of call in mainland China, immediately after Shanghai.

If the above conditions are fulfilled, you are definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in Shanghai area.
