Does the Beijing airport close at night

Hi ! My mother will be transiting alone through PEK and will have an 11hour layover. We were hoping for her to get out of the airport and simply go to one of the hotels to get some sleep and then get back into the airport but her connection flight will be at 1.40 am.
Will she need to pick up her luggage since her transiting time is that long ? Does the airport close at night and should she therefore come back inside before a certain time and check back in ?
