About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Air route: JFK/PEK/SIN/PEK/JFK

Stay over in PEK 4 days visiting friends. SIN/PEK/JFK are for same day travel. All I have are Air China Ticket numbers for all flights. How do I notify air china I will be applying for 72/144 G visa? Or, can I just inform them at departure from JFK?

You are not applying for a visa. You just inform the airline at check-in that you will be in transit without visa.

Thanks. FYI: Since boarding passes will not be printed until departure from PEK, G visa requires E ticket number to satisfy requirements

A G visa is something you will need to get at a Chinese embassy or consulate before traveling.
