About:Beijing Transportation

Air China from Houston transferring to Air Asiana in Beijing

Flying Air China Airline from Houston and will transfer to Asiana Airlines in BJ final destination Gwangju South Korea. Checked bags are tagged for Gwangju but Air China doesn’t know if they will automatically transfer to Asiana Airlines in BJ or I collect them and recheck?

Generally speaking, passengers don't need to pick up the luggage because it is an international to international transfer. It is suggested to confirm with your airline whether your luggage will go all the way to the final destination.
