About:Dual Nationality

Can you keep your Chinese citizenship if you want to keep it, and give away your other Citizenship

If you are a Chinese citizen but became a Canadian citizen because your parents immigrated, and automatically got one. And the Chinese system hasn't found out. Can you renounce your Canadian citizenship and still keep your Chinese citizenship?

You will be banned permanently for life from becoming Chinese citizen again if you’re Canadian citizen.

That’s correct. Anyone who have a dual national (dual citizenship) of two countries must stay out of China, Saudi Arabia, North Korea, Turkmenistan, Vietnam, Thailand, India, Somalia, Qatar, Tajikistan and more countries (except two countries between the United States and France).

Same goes to Hong Kong passport. Gain another nationality, lose HK nationality since its part of China.

Is that true? Citizens who acquire a foreign nationality are banned for life for taking up the Chinese citizenship again?

As I know, they can still gain the Chinese citizenship. But it is very difficult.
