About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

SFO-Shanghai-Tokyo-Beijing-SFO

Can you do the 144 hour transit visa twice? I would like to Shanghai and Beijing, my itinerary would be

SFO to Shanghai= Stay in Shanghai for 3 Days
Shanghai to Tokyo= Stay in Tokyo for 5 days
Tokyo to Beijing=Stay in Beijing for 3 Days
Beijing to SFO

I am a US visa holder.

If you are not a US citizen then you need to be holding passports from the other listed 52 countries or a visa-exempt country. A US visa is not the equivalent of a US passport.

Your itinerary is eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in both Shanghai and Beijing and you don't need a visa of any kind.
