About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

SFO to Taipei to Shanghai...

Traveling to Shanghai connecting thru Taipei from SFO. One week in Shaghai...then back to Taipei/SFO. Is it OK to fly from Taipei, then transit out back to Taipei a week later? Thank you for your help.

Feel sorry to tell you that you cannot use the 240h visa free transit on this route as it's a round trip, not a transit route.
