About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

Vancouver-Shenzhen-Hanoi

Hello,

I am wondering if I am eligible for the 144 hour transit free visa. I have all non-stop direct flights into and out of Shenzhen and only staying for 4 days. The only problem is that my flight into Shenzhen International Airport arrives at 5am but this article said that the counter doesn't open until 10:00am. Do I actually have to wait 5 hours for the counter to open?
