About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Canadian fly from Toronto to Singapore. Take 30 Day Asia Cruise. Stop at Hong Kong day16. Debark Ship in Shanghai and stay 2 nights. Then fly to Toronto. Am I eligible to use the 144- Hour Visa-Free Transit? Thank you.

Yes, you are eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in Shanghai area in principle, but to be completely certain, your itinerary has to fulfill the following conditions:

- Your cruise should not have any additional mainland Chinese port of call between Hong Kong and Shanghai.
- Your flight from Shanghai to Toronto is not allowed to have any additional landing within mainland China and in Hong Kong.

If the above conditions are fulfilled, you are definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in Shanghai area.
