About:Visa on Arrival

Hello, are Thai people eligible for a 5 days VOA to visit Shenzhen from Hong Kong?

My wife is Thai (with Thai passport) and lives in France with a 10-year French resident card.
Can she get a VOA when travelling from Hong Kong to Shenzhen from HK to Shenzhen?

Unfortunately, the recent practice by Chinese immigration indicates that Thai citizens are not eligible for a Shenzhen VOA at the time being. Anyway, this same practice indicates that in the situations where the entire families are applying, then the authorities tend to grant a visa to the entire family if one of the members is from eligible country. That would be your situation. Anyway, I really cannot guarantee that this will be in your case, but I'm just informing you about the current situation. It will be up to you to decide what to do.
