About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

24hrs TWOV at Xiamen

Hi,

I am an Egyptian Passport Holder. I am Traveling from Dublin to Indonesia and my Route is as Follow:
Dublin --> Amsterdam (Layover 12 hours)
Amsterdam --> Xiamen (Layover 11 hours)
Xiamen --> Indonesia.

Do I need a Transit Visa for Xiamen ?

Your itinerary is definitely eligible for 24 hour visa free transit and you don't need any kind of visa. You will print out your flight tickets and have those printouts with you. You will declare in Dublin and Amsterdam that you will travel to Indonesia via Xiamen in China using 24 hour visa free transit. After a short inspection, you will be allowed to board the plane. Assuming that you are flying on a single (through) ticket provided by XiamenAir, you will stay during your transit within the transit area of Xiamen airport. Of course, you are allowed to apply for a temporary entry permit at 24 hour visa free transit counter to be allowed to exit the airport, but you should know that the issuing of the permit depends entirely upon discretion of immigration authorities on the day of your landing in Xiamen.
